Dried
sweet pepper "U Zafaran" (Peperone
di Senise I.G.P.)
Dried sweet pepper is one of the typical Italian ingredient, capable of brighten up any kind of dish.
With the collaboration of Lucanica, we provide “U Zaferan". Our dried sweet pepper is cultivated in Basilicata, inside the Pollino National Park. With its amiable conic form and its pleasant smell, U Zafaran embodies the oldest Italian Traditions.
The deep red
color and the intense fragrance, not to mention the delightful sweet taste,
make the U Zafaran a much sought product. Fragrance
and smell apart, it is notable the high level of vitamin "C"
contained in such very small size (commonly about 2 mm).
This quality of dried
sweet pepper is available all year: The low water content, the light and
resistant outside cuticle and the very thin pulp are all conditions that allow
an easy dehydration and conservation of the product for the all year.
Fish
plate, meat or vegetables….thanks to its adorable taste, you can easily pair "U Zafaran" with any dish you are making!

infact. provides an extra-virgin Olive Oil which comes from the first pressing of the olives; the best quality.
Extra virgin is the highest quality and most flavorful olive oil classification; our extra virgin Olive Oil is simply pressed fruit juice without additives. The kinds of olives cultivated bring a unique flavor and quality to the oil. Also, once the olives have been picked, pressed, and washed, no other process has taken place other than decantation, and centrifugation to extract the oil, and filtration.
Pleasant spicy fruit flavors characterize our extra-virgin Olive Oil.
Our Olive Oil to drizzle over your salad or maybe to cook with...
...a touch of Italy which creates an agreeable acrid flavor sensation on your tongue and a peppery sensation in your throat.
Pecorino Cheese
Pecorino is a hard, salty Italian cheese made from the milk of pecora (the Italian word pecora, from which the name derives, means sheep).
Our suppliers have been making Pecorino for generations unknown and their entire cheese making process is done according to family secrets and tradition.
The flocks are cured in Lucanica area, North-western of the Appennino, at 900 and the 1400 meters above sea level. The flocks’ diet is perfectly defined to ensure the best quality milk possible, not to mention the stringent EU requirements certainly respected.
This special cheese can easily tickle the taste buds!
The traditional, hand-made Pecorino has a delicate flavor and a wonderfully rich aroma. Pecorino can be marvelously eaten by itself or in sandwiches. Generally, it is used on pasta dishes; however, its distinctive aromatic, pleasantly sharp and very salty flavor make Pecorino preferable for some pasta dishes with highly-flavored sauces. It is used as well as elegant dessert. Pecorino is mainly served with sliced pear or juice oranges, accompanied by a touch of honey or jam, as our organic jam (Nostaligia, Ardore, Saffico) below.
